Personal information collected
We currently collect and process the following the information: personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics (for example, name and contact details) when submitting an enquiry via the ‘Contact Form’.
Means and purpose of personal information collection
Keeping your personal information secure is of utmost importance to us and we strive to take every measure possible to protect your privacy.
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you so that we may contact you in connection with your immigration matter or legal issue to gather some further information; this is to establish whether or not we are able to advise and/or represent you in your legal matter. Following initial contact, your personal information will only be used further in the event that you instruct our firm to represent you in your legal matter and then only when necessary in limited use during the course of your case. Thereafter we will responsibly dispose of your information from all of our systems in line with legislative guidelines and requirements.
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulations (UK GDPR) the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:
(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting immigration@as.legal.
(b) We have a contractual obligation.
(c) We have a legal obligation.
(d) We have a vital interest.
(e) We need it to perform a public task.
How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored. All information received is strictly confidential and our firm takes every step possible to protect your privacy. The information collected via the Contact Form is stored using industry standard SSL encryption. Your information will only be used after initial contact is made in the event that you instruct our firm to represent you in your legal matter and then only when necessary in limited used during the course of your case. Thereafter we will responsibly and securely dispose of your information from all of our systems in line with legislative requirements.

Your right of access: You have a right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
Your right to rectification: You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.

How to complain
At A-S Immigration Services we strive to keep you entirely satisfied with our services and measures to protect your privacy. Communication is key therefore you are encouraged at every opportunity to maintain a consistent dialogue with us in terms of your needs and expectations and also to highlight any concerns you may have. In the unlikely event that you do have any concerns, we will work with you in the first instance to resolve these as quickly and effectively as possible.
If you continue to have any concerns regarding our use of your personal information you can make a written complaint to us at immigration@as.legal.
In the unlikely event that we are unable to resolve the issue having worked with you for a resolution in the first instance and then having exhausted the written complaints procedure, you can also complain to the ICO if you remain unhappy with how we have used your information.
